FLY Film Festival Commemorating the 2017 ASEAN-ROK Cultural Exchange Year - Call for Entries and Participants Application
To commemorate the 2017 ASEAN-ROK Cultural Exchange Year, Busan Film Commission and Busan Asian Film School will hold a FLY Film Festival consisting of 10 short films produced during the last five editions of the ‘ASEAN-ROK Film Leaders Incubator: FLY’ program, and films made by FLY alumni. We are calling for FLY alumni who can meet again in Busan to share their filmmaking experiences with others. Any FLY Alumni interested in showing your films and participating in the FLY Film Festival, please see the following guidelines for Film Entry and Participants Application.

○ Announcement of Call for Entries and Participants Application: June 1 – 30, 2017
○ Application: June 19 – 30, 2017
○ Selection Announcement: August 7, 2017

○ FLY Film Festival Schedule: October 13 – 15, 2017

Ⅲ. Guidelines for Film Entry and Participants Application
○ General Eligibility for Applicants
- FLY Alumni (from Korea and ASEAN nations only) who can stay in Busan during the entire FLY Film Festival
○ Types of Applications
[Type 1] Film Entry
– Short films and features in which FLY alumni have participated as main staff (director/writer/cinematographer/producer) and which have been invited to international film festivals (Films in languages other than English must have English subtitles)
- All rights issues including copyright and right of distribution have to be resolved prior to submission in order to screen at the festival.
- Only FLY alumni may apply, and only selected applicants will be invited to Busan during the festival.
- No screening fee will be provided.
- If selected, the final version of the film (DCP or MOV format) must be delivered to the festival office by August 31.
[Type 2] Festival Participants
– Alumni who have experience in international co-production or workshops, and can
participate in a panel discussion about related topics (international co-production)

○ Selected applicants will be offered round-trip airfare and hotel.
○ Selected applicants must participate in all scheduled events organized by the hosts.
