2025 FLY Film Festival

Celebrating the 11th Anniversary of FLY and the ASEAN–ROK Film Community Programme

Since its launch in 2012, the ASEAN–ROK Film Community Programme has nurtured emerging filmmakers across ASEAN and Korea, building a vibrant network of storytellers who continue to shape the Asian film landscape. Supported by the ASEAN–ROK Cooperation Fund (AKCF), FLY has served as a platform for training, collaboration, and regional exchange for more than a decade.

Following the successful conclusion of FLY2025 in Busan (September 4–19, 2025), the 2025 FLY Film Festival served as the programme’s milestone showcase. Held from November 3–6, 2025 at the Busan Cinema Center and hosted by Busan Metropolitan City with Busan Film Commission as organiser, this edition celebrated the journeys and achievements of FLY alumni across ASEAN and beyond.

Through screenings, forums, and networking events, the festival brought together alumni, mentors, and partners to commemorate more than a decade of shared growth between ASEAN and Korea. It stands as both a reflection and a renewal—demonstrating how a training initiative has evolved into a dynamic film community that continues to inspire collaboration and new possibilities across the region.
